Reducing onboarding from 3 weeks to just 20 minutes

Trouva

UX design / UI design

4 week turnaround. 12 page designs. 2 prototypes. 1 new platform. 0 third party integrations.

Owning a new process unencumbered by third party applications

Trouva, the leading platform to discover and shop independent boutiques and brands, wanted to take control of their retail partner onboarding process. They needed to remove the dependency on third party platforms and reduce the number of tasks completed by their team to increase efficiencies.

We delved into their research to design an onboarding and agreement process which kept new retail partners engaged throughout a previously lengthy process.

Digitising processes for speed

The most critical piece of the brief was digitising contract signing between Trouva and a new boutique which needed to be fully managed by Trouva HQ. Working with their internal digital team, we designed a new process which did just this.

We then took the design thinking and approach further to facilitate the seamless set-up of a boutique’s store on Trouva's platform from contract through to the retailer accepting and launching their new web store.

“Our Boutique platform is complex and can take time to understand. Hancock and Rowe came in and picked up on things immediately. Their comprehension was incredible and was visible in conversations and meetings. They took our Boutique platform from something barebones to something that was thoughtful and intentional.”

Ongoing relationship

Due to the strong relationship we created with Trouva, we were invited to optimise other areas of the platform to excite consumers and improve sales conversions. This included reviewing the retail panel and creating engaging new Star Boutique pages on the consumer side of the platform. This allowed Trouva to direct consumers to more relevant, interesting and strategically important merchants.
